About the role:

As the Sr. Sales Consultant, you will:

  • By taking ownership of your personal and sales goals, you will play a critical role in driving the company's annual business objectives.
  • Have the opportunity to build and manage strategic relationships with consultants and partners to ensure that annual targets are met.
  • Keeping a pulse on the market and monitoring the activities of competitors will be crucial in staying ahead of the game.
  • As a leader of a team of sales professionals, you will be responsible for creating and delivering effective sales presentations for critical opportunities.
  • You will gain a deep understanding of all of products from both a marketing and technical perspective, and work closely with other departments to ensure successful projects from opportunity development to contract closure.
  • With a focus on expansion and growth, you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with executives and help take the company to new markets across all deregulated utilities.

Sales Consultant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required OR equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working at a sales role in the utilities, energy management, or renewables industry with exceptional commercial awareness, a good understanding of market drivers and challenges (market foresight).
  • Ability to juggle and manage conflicting priorities within required timelines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to rent and drive a car and travel on public conveyances when required.
  • Prior sales background with a demonstrated history of sales performance.
  • A solid grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
  • A thorough aptitude for analysis and strategy.
  • Decisive thinking and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-relations skills.
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Dynamic and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong client-focused mindset.
