Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of accounting/finance or accounts payable experience.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of financial ratios, valuation methods, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for grasping technical advancements and successfully implementing new systems and enhancements.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient assistance to internal cross-division customers, ensuring seamless usage of online systems (Oracle, Coupa, SW Invoicing).
  • Liaise with external indirect expense vendors, offering timely problem resolution and payment status updates for invoices linked to US, Canadian, and Jamaican operations.
  • Cultivate positive vendor and customer relationships, proactively minimizing issues to ensure timely payments and transactions.
  • Analyze and rectify invoice records to guarantee precise financial impact and timely payments.
  • Communicate promptly and effectively with indirect expense suppliers, resolving concerns to prevent payment delays.
  • Support organizational changes and departmental initiatives, contributing to the successful Coupa BuyRight implementation.
  • Assist in accounting and internal control considerations for acquisitions and integrations involving systems like Coupa, Oracle, and SW Invoicing.
  • Utilize expertise to enhance departmental operations, identifying trends through insightful analysis of departmental reports.
  • Collaborate with SBS Accounts Payable team and divisional accounting, offering support in report analysis and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform fluctuation analysis and trend evaluation of manufacturing AP accounts.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations, and collaborate with management for swift resolution of variances.
