Job Title: Tax Advisory Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ


Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  1. Leadership Role: Utilize your technical tax, analytical, operational, and management skills to lead our team effectively.
  2. Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends and offering proactive solution options.
  3. Engagement Management: Manage staff on engagement deliverables, ensuring quality control standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficient technical skills in handling all client responsibilities, including understanding trends and industries.
  5. Client Relationship Management: Own client relationships, understanding their goals and needs, and strategizing with Managing Directors on tax planning.
  6. Recommendations and Guidance: Provide clients with recommendations and guidance to achieve their goals, identifying growth opportunities.
  7. Research and Analysis: Research tax issues and provide guidance to clients, ensuring compliance and optimization.
  8. Team Development: Assist senior management in mentoring, coaching, and supervising staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  9. Communication: Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization.
  10. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or relevant field. Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting, with 3 years in a supervisory role. Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
  11. Technology Proficiency: Proficient use of applicable technology.
  12. Travel: Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.


Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
  • 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.


Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, based on education, experience, and skill set. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical and dental insurance, retirement savings, life and disability insurance, certification incentives, education assistance, and more.
