Title: Technical Admin/Lab Color Technician

Position: Temporary

Location: Minneapolis, MN

First Shift: Mon - Fri, 7 am - 3:30 pm, including 30 minutes for lunch. No overtime.

We are currently seeking a talented Lab Technician to join a growing team!

 

As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products through laboratory testing and analysis.

You will support color match efforts by cutting, labeling, and preparing metal color samples for shipment; you will be responsible for daily filing of metal panels and color standards; you will also organize and perform other admin related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

First Priority - Technical Admin

  • Accountable for data entry into color management software system.
  • Time spent approximately 50%.

 

Second Priority - Lab Technician

  • Support routine color matching requests, record results, and learn basic knowledge of color theory.
  • Learn and use software systems for color predictions.
  • Operate under direct supervision with all output reviewed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills.
  • General color lab equipment operations (scale, stirrer, mixer, spray guns, fume hoods).
  • Knowledge of mathematical methods to calculate / re-balance color formulas.
  • Learn to manage time efficiently.
  • Seek assistance on setting priorities for scheduling.
  • Learn and applies processes selected by the supervisor to solve problems.
  • Comply with all safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean work area.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma minimum.
  • Two-year degree would be nice to have but not required.
