Job Description:
We are looking for a Technical Training / Support Specialist to join our growing support team
within our highly customer service focused Information Technology department.
The primary responsibility of this role is to create technical
training material and train our internal users on the firm’s software and related technology.
When not involved in training-related activities, this role is also responsible for the setup
and ongoing support of our users. To assist in your success, you will be supported by
our team of highly technical and well experienced IT professionals. Because this role is
very visible within the firm, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on
every department within an organization that understands and appreciates the value of
technology. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator of technical information to
people of all skill levels and an expert in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create technical training material for written, one-on-one, group, and multimedia training.
Perform IT onboarding training to new users and general application training to existing
users.
Assist in maintaining new user setup documentation and other IT related procedures.
Configure and setup user’s hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Solve technical support issues submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups.
Troubleshoot user’s hardware and software environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ability to speak or write with ease, clarity, and impact, using a communication style
that is engaging, informative, and compelling while being appropriate to the subject and
the audience.
Experience in creating and maintaining written and multimedia technical training
materials.
2+ years of technical related training experience teaching or training one on one, in small
groups, and large groups.
Support or help desk experience in a corporate environment.
Expert level experience in supporting the advanced features of Word, Excel, Outlook,
Adobe Acrobat, and Windows.
Ability to support mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Android based systems.
Strong hardware and software applications troubleshooting skills.
Basic understanding of networking.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must be able to handle and safeguard sensitive information in a highly confidential
manner.
Job Details:
Morning, evening, and weekends paid overtime may occasionally be required to fulfill our
users’ needs. This overtime may be performed onsite or remotely, depending on the
need.
Regional travel to our remote offices may be required, with some of these project trips
requiring an overnight stay.
