A day in the life:

• Design technical architecture for applications, including those supporting Internet of Things applications.
• Participate in needs analysis and requirements gathering sessions with business users and IT specialists. 
• Assist in the creation of technology architecture documents; create software designs, deliver unit & integration tested code adhering to architecture and design 
• Research emerging technologies and solutions to solve current and future project problems. 
• Recommend changes in process, policies, and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles.
• Perform software engineering and administration tasks, including those support of Internet of Things applications.
• Stay current with applicable technologies, attends conferences and conducts training as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Must have skillset (specific experiences can be concurrent):

• LAMP and micro-service architectures: 3 years
• Python or Java: 2 years
• 3+ years of SQL experience working with MySQL or Oracle Databases
• Understand and experience implementing Cybersecurity by Design (OWASP Web Top 10 and Others)
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure is preferred)
• Ability to challenge at all levels of the project and with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team
• Positive attitude with passion for growth, can-do approach to obstacles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice to have skillset:

• Exposure to/experience with Big Data and data analytics a plus
• Node.js
