Job Title: Enterprise Platform Solution Architect

Location: Cleveland, OH

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our digital transformation initiatives. As a key member of our Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing high-level and detailed solution architecture designs, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of our technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop high-level and detailed solution architecture designs, incorporating technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Provide accountable technical decisions, documentation, and direction for high-level designs, emphasizing the integration of Microservices, Event-based integration, Data management, and system of record applications globally.
  • Lead the design of Microservices Technology platforms, emphasizing reusability and conducting proof-of-concept on emerging digital trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performing solutions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand the Business Transformation roadmap and identify opportunities for process improvement through technology solutions.


Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Monitor and manage the performance of deployed technologies, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Independently prototype solutions and develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the deployment of new technologies, ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements.


Operational Management:

  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, implementing metrics to measure technology architecture effectiveness and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Develop solutions to support cybersecurity strategies and oversee the seamless integration of new technology solutions with existing systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.


Incidental Functions:

  • Participate in internal and external forums to share knowledge, promote best practices, and drive technical improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills among team members.
  • Contribute to hiring and talent management processes, serving as a mentor to technical staff.


Qualifications:


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with 8+ years in solution architecture and architectural frameworks.
  • Strong experience in Java/Spring Boot or similar platforms in a service-oriented environment.
  • In-depth understanding of architectural patterns, principles, and frameworks.
  • Experience in Domain Driven Design and modern product development and integration architectures.
  • Extensive experience with containers, orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Enterprise), and Azure cloud platform.
  • 8+ years of experience in Microservices, Event-based integration, and data management layer.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices.
  • Proficiency in routing and messaging tools/patterns.
  • Agile product development experience utilizing Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Agile tools is a plus.
