Job Title: Senior IT Developer


Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid)


Job Type: Full-Time


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Developer to join our dynamic IT team. If you have a proven track record of developing high-quality software solutions, are well-versed in the latest technologies, and have a passion for driving innovation, we invite you to apply.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Software Development: Lead and actively participate in the design, development, and testing of complex software applications, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.


2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment.


3. Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, including system architecture and design specifications.


4. Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and maintainability.


5. Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and challenges, employing sound problem-solving skills and methodologies.


6. Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.


7. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, coding standards, and best practices.


8. Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee testing processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality software solutions.


9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure successful project delivery.


Qualifications:


Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.


Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
  • 5+ years Java, ORM/JPA/Hibernate, Web Services, Object-oriented design techniques, and common design patterns. 
  • 3+ years of experience in writing SQL queries and stored procedures to Oracle databases.
  • Experience testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues.
  • Experience in automated testing desired.
  • Microservices experience
  • Advanced skills implementing API and Microservices architecture using any of the market leading solutions
  • Experience in implementing business critical, high volume, and highly available services is a must.
  • A strong hands-on development track records building integration and application utilizing a variety of technologies, development tools and database systems.
