Job Title: Maintenance Technician  

Location: Covington, GA 30014  

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience or a relevant Tech School diploma. Candidates with certifications or degrees in electrical or industrial maintenance are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with motors, control circuits, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment, VFDs, sensors, e-stops, and control circuits.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM-3:30 PM (with potential for overtime)  

Duration: Temporary to Permanent role, with possible extension based on training and performance  

Lifting Requirement: 50 lbs  

PPE Requirement: Static Dissipating Boots  

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain physical structures of commercial and industrial establishments using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and write programmable logic controls.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment to ensure safety and support business goals.
• Perform maintenance on equipment such as dryers, chillers, thermo oxidizer, HVAC systems, fire pumps, mixers, mills, filling line equipment, conveyors, wrappers, tanks, motors, pumps, tank washers, tank tippers, and dock equipment.
• Train on day shift initially and transition to the night shift (6pm-6am, Pitman Schedule) after a couple of months.

Mandatory Skills:

• Ability to work overtime with or without accommodation.
• Minimum of one year of maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory.
• Knowledge of PLC programming is preferred.

Desired Skills:

• One or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications, or a post-secondary/technical degree.
