Job Title: Enterprise Platform Solution Architect

Location: Columbus, OH

Position Overview:

As the Enterprise Platform Solution Architect, you will be a visionary leader, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to ensure the successful implementation of our technology solutions. This role demands a candidate with a deep understanding of architectural patterns, principles, and frameworks, coupled with extensive experience in solution architecture and a passion for staying at the forefront of technological advancements.


Responsibilities:


Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop high-level and detailed solution architecture designs, including technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Accountable for technical decisions, documentation, and direction for high-level designs and approaches.
  • Provide solutions based on the Reference Digital Integration Layer, tying together Experience Layer, Microservices, Event-based integration, Data management, and system of record applications.
  • Design Microservices Technology platforms with a strong focus on reusability.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept and pilot the latest trends in digital transformation, applying them to the organization's technology strategy.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of technology solutions, addressing potential risks and issues.
  • Provide gap, risk, and impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performing solutions.


Acquisition & Deployment:

  • Monitor and manage the performance of deployed technologies, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work independently and hands-on to prototype.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures for the deployment and operation of new technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the deployment of new technologies, ensuring security and compliance requirements are met.


Operational Management:

  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, implementing metrics to measure the effectiveness of technology architecture.
  • Develop solutions to support cybersecurity strategies.
  • Oversee the deployment of new technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.


Incidental Functions:

  • Participate in internal and external committees, working groups, and forums to share knowledge and promote best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to share knowledge and improve technical skills.
  • Participate in hiring and talent management processes, serving as a mentor to technical staff.


Qualifications:


Requirements:


Formal Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.


Knowledge & Experience:

  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture and architectural frameworks.
  • In-depth understanding of architectural patterns, principles, and frameworks.
  • Experience in Java/Spring Boot or similar platforms/frameworks in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong technical background in key technology platforms, infrastructure, database, security, legal compliance rules, and software platforms.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Enterprise) in the public/hybrid cloud model.
  • Experience with Azure platform and services.
  • Experience in Solutioning digital products using PowerApps platform, ReactJS, Java spring boot, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • 8+ years of experience in Microservices, Event-based integration layer, and data management layer.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices.
  • Experience with routing and messaging tools/patterns.
  • 8+ years collaborating with internal clients and/or external agencies/partners.
  • Agile product development experience utilizing Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience with Agile tools is a plus.
