Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Beachwood, OH

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 plus 10% bonus


Senior Data Engineer Summary:


We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to achieving excellence. In this role, you will take ownership of data analytics and reporting, leveraging your expertise to create detailed analytical models that drive value and inform critical business decisions.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities of Senior Data Engineer:


  • Lead the technical design, implementation, and resolution of complex problems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute well-structured user stories.
  • Maintain and enhance a maturing data governance policy.
  • Oversee a rapidly expanding and robust data model containing essential customer information.
  • Design and implement reliable ETL solutions from diverse data sources (APIs, proprietary DBs, No-SQL).
  • Deliver best-in-class business analytics through web-based reports and dashboards.
  • Define project feature delivery timelines and proactively address risks.
  • Identify technical debt and communicate responsible management plans.
  • Provide mentoring and support to team members as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities for Senior Data Engineer:


  • Eagerness to learn from experienced, data-obsessed team members.
  • Strong sense of ownership, pride, and commitment to quality.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence data visualization tools.
  • Expertise in RDBMS (MSSQL) and/or NoSQL database technologies (MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
  • Experience with cloud-based and/or on-premises data warehousing (Azure preferred).
  • Familiarity with Power BI Embedded Analytics.
  • Proficient in Agile software development principles.
  • Proven track record of teamwork demonstrated through high-quality and timely Data Engineering projects.

Education and Experience of Senior Data Engineer:


  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering required.
