Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a stable insurance brokerage that is looking for a Surety Account Manager in East Providence, RI. This client has been around for almost 150 years, is owned by a Trust, and has the reputation of being one of the Best Places to Work in its respective territories.

  

This position could be located in any of our client's offices throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Hybrid schedule is also a possibility for this position after training period.



Job Functions:


This individual will assist the Bond department in servicing bond accounts. This person will receive bond requests from clients, obtain permission from surety companies to issue, physically prepare the bond, invoice the client, and make the appropriate entries into the Agency Management systems. 


Our client would love to bring someone to the team who has worked in a Surety department previously, either at a carrier or at a brokerage, and has a strong background in Surety. Their department is growing in revenue and looking for an experienced surety professional to help support their clients. This is a small department with great growth potential. 



  • Process client bond requests.
  • Obtain authority from surety company to issue bonds.
  • Invoice clients.
  • Maintain client files in ImageRight.
  • Request underwriting information from clients.
  • Process bond renewals.
  • Respond to daily tasks.
  • Compute bond premiums.
  • Prepare bonds for issuance.
  • Enter bid results.


Skills and Abilities:


  • Fluency in MS Office products.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in an ever changing environment is critical.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, colleagues, and underwriters.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.


Experience and Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relative field preferred.
  • AAI, AIS designations preferred.
  • Producer license is Mandatory
