The Program:

Launching a commercial P&C program to underwrite small and middle-market businesses on an admitted and E&S basis, offering General Liability, Automobile, Property, Umbrella, and more. Initial focus on construction, service, and retail sectors.

The Role:

A Commercial Underwriter, reporting to the Commercial Underwriting Leader, will underwrite all coverages and classes on an admitted and non-admitted basis. The role is based in Westlake, TX, with remote options. Responsibilities include underwriting new business, renewals, and technical transactions, with performance measured by profitability, growth, and agency management. Underwriting assistants and a national sales team provide support.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 20+ years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical underwriting, form language, and competitive landscape.
  • Consultative approach with agents to differentiate and build relationships.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer experience.
  • Proactive, hands-on problem-solver.
