Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a stable insurance brokerage that is looking for a Marketing and Communication Manager in East Providence, RI. This client has been around for almost 150 years, is owned by a Trust, and has the reputation of being one of the Best Places to Work in its respective territories.
The Marketing & Communications Manager directs the company's marketing strategy and brand development across multiple brands. Responsibilities include managing social media, publications, websites, and organizing employee/client events. This role involves supervising up to 5 associates and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to maintain brand alignment. The position is hands-on, requiring tasks from drafting press releases to coordinating corporate events and creating social media content. It's an office-based role demanding active engagement with associates, managers, senior leaders, and vendors. This position is primarily in-office.
Social Media & Email Marketing Management:
- Collaborate with external marketing group to develop a 12-month posting schedule aligned with brand message.
- Create drip campaigns for practice groups, involving research and content development.
- Handle email marketing tasks: drafting content, scheduling, surveys, event invites, analytics interpretation, and adjustments.
- Review and edit content for company websites and social media pages.
Oversight of SharePoint/Internal Brand Intranet Management:
- Manage SharePoint campaigns, videos, and postings.
- Lead team in creating a 12-month timeline, collaborating across departments to develop content, event campaigns, and communication schedules.
- Supervise corporate intranet event calendar, including invitations, surveys, and event list management.
Employee & Client Events:
- Collaborate with SVP and Director of Marketing to develop corporate events calendar.
- Organize and execute corporate events (internal and external).
- Conduct post-event debriefs and make necessary adjustments.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support content creation across disciplines and corporate communications.
- Maintain and update corporate websites.
- Write, schedule, and promote press releases to external outlets.
- Manage online presence, including Google profiles and Carrier information.
- Assist with and attend offsite and after-hours events.
- Perform additional assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, Mac and PC platforms.
- Experience engaging with C Suite executives.
- Expertise in coordinating corporate events, including venue selection, vendor scheduling, and onsite management.
- Strong critical thinking and initiative-taking abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication with strong editing and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Team-oriented with flexibility for early mornings or late evenings.
- Reliable transportation for travel across RI/CT/MA.
- Clear communication and effective time management skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo), Mailchimp & Hubspot scheduling, and basic HTML.
- Skills in content writing, basic photography, Adobe video editing, and Photoshop.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in writing, editing, and managing social media; portfolio of relevant projects preferred.
