Senior Fund Accountant

Our client, which provides accounting and fund administration services, is searching for their next Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. This role has the opportunity to work closely with the end client’s management team on a regular basis. Our client manages nearly $2 Billion of capital and supports a diverse range of clients. 



Essential Functions 

• Investment company functions: 

  • Maintain books and records for partnership books. Responsibilities include: 
  • Record operating and investment activities in partnership books 
  • Record bank activities in general ledger and reconcile bank accounts monthly 
  • Reconciles balance sheet & income statement accounts monthly 
  • Assist, facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including the monthly closing of intercompany accounts and the consolidation of selected companies 
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
  • Prepare monthly lender compliance reports. 
  • Prepare document support to external auditors and tax preparers 
  • Assist with financial and tax audits. 
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned. 
  • Prepare regulatory filings and related compliance reporting 
  • Provide financials and tax packages to tax CPA 
  • Prepare Information Reporting (Form 1099, state nonresident withholding, Statement of Information)
  • Prepare other tax compliance (e.g., business tax, franchise tax, annual registration fees) 


Professional Skills Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Accounting or Finance 
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience. Relevant real estate fund or private equity experience is a plus. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience working with complex accounting software – eFront (preferred) 
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical and verbal/written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 
  • Position located fully onsite in Pasadena, CA 


Compensation & Benefits 

  • Starting base salary of $ 90,000 – $ 95,000 / year - based on experience and qualifications
  • Merit-based Year-end bonus (qualification after 1 year of full-time employment) 
  • 401k plan entry after one year of employment with discretionary Employer contribution 
  • Health Insurance, with limited Vision coverage (after 60 days of full-time employment)
