The Program:

Launching a new commercial property and casualty program for small to middle-market businesses nationwide. They offer General Liability, Automobile, Property, Umbrella, and other coverages on both admitted and E&S bases, available as monoline or packaged policies.

The Role: 

Join their leadership team in Westlake, TX, as the Commercial Underwriting Leader reporting to the VP of Package Programs. Influence underwriting strategy, guidelines, and culture while managing underwriters' performance. Drive technological evolution to optimize underwriting and enhance customer experience.

Initially, collaborate on product launch activities including guideline refinement, product development, and underwriting. Post-establishment, focus on team management, portfolio oversight, and market expansion.


The Structure: Underwriters handle new business, renewals, and complex transactions, supported by underwriting assistants. Utilize our proprietary software platform for streamlined operations. A national sales team appoints agents and drives business growth.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in commercial multi-line underwriting.
  • Minimum 2 years in management.
  • Strong technical underwriting knowledge and competitive landscape awareness.
  • Advocate for exceptional customer service.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with IT and operational leaders.
