Our client is in search of a Vice President of Digital and IT, responsible for leveraging the latest technologies to enable all parts of the organization to serve customers in a way that is incomparable and provides revolutionary capabilities that enable the company to scale to meet the demands of the large and rapidly growing market that they serve. Reporting to the CEO and a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will be responsible for leading the creation of a technology roadmap that looks to leverage the best of existing and emerging technological capabilities to accelerate growth. Partnering with leaders across the organization to identify the biggest impact needs and opportunities, you will develop a team responsible for selecting and implementing the technologies that are best for the company. You will also be responsible for leveraging external 3rd parties to augment the capabilities of the internal team to maximize the speed and effectiveness of technology solution delivery.


Our client is seeking a high-energy, execution-oriented individual who will have a passion for the growth and rapid evolution of the business and the customers it serves. You will be experienced in managing internal and external technology teams and have a good understanding of both core IT infrastructure as well as the most modern digital tools and applications. As a senior leader, this role requires someone who can combine strong business acumen with digital expertise and someone who can think big and be bold in their leadership while demonstrating outstanding functional team management and technical skills.


In this role, you will:


  • Build and lead a high-performing digital and IT organization, fostering talent acquisition and development that will provide exceptional value across the organization and to customers.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to create and implement a comprehensive digital and IT strategy and roadmap aligned with the vision and business goals and objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that create new and innovative business and operating models, streamline operations, and unlock scale.
  • Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy to safeguard the IT systems and data.
  • Provide thought leadership for the digital future of the enterprise.
  • Educate the organization on digital technologies and trends.
  • Build and maintain external relationships with customers, vendors, startups, analysts, and academia to leverage the broader technology ecosystem.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to lead the development of digital capabilities in all employees necessary for digital transformation throughout the enterprise.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify digital opportunities, implement solutions, and drive people, processes, and technology change.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, agility, and collaboration throughout the organization including directly supporting the needs of senior and extended leadership teams.
  • Drive the adoption of digital tools, technologies, and processes to enhance customer and employee experiences, product, system, service, solution value, and operational efficiency.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the maturity and value of digital initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership for the overall Digital Transformation program, operating system, governance, digital literacy, and lean/agile ways of working to deliver measurable business value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital transformation.
  • Lead the transformation toward an insight-driven organization that leverages the power of data.
  • Champion the process to identify, trial, evaluate, and scale or fail new digital technologies while ensuring they are relevant to the business
  • Identify and equip the team with hardware that enables effective and efficient work and collaboration.



To succeed in this role, you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in senior IT and digital transformation roles in mid-sized to large organizations.
  • Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation, large-scale technology and business transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, architecture, and core applications such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of the wide range of digital technologies and trends with depth and experience in Digital Transformation, Data & Analytics, AI/ML, and Digital optimization and automation.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and their relationship to customer journeys and touchpoints.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve big goals.
  • Experience with Lean/Agile ways of working at all levels including organizational agility (scaled and integrated into operating system), and agile delivery (team/project team level).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and a passion for driving change.
