Our client is in search of a Production Supervisor, for their Houston, Texas facility, who will lead and guide the manufacturing processes to meet/exceed customer expectations & achieve strategic and aspirational growth plans.

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Supervisor, will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assembly area ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. Your strong leadership skills, technical expertise in electrical/mechanical assembly, and ability to drive performance will be vital in supporting the growth of the company and delivering high-quality products to customers.


In this role, you will:


  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the facility. Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the day-to-day production operations and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, coaching, training, and support to ensure performance and adherence to production standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate with the production planning team to allocate resources, schedule jobs, and optimize production flow to achieve schedules ensuring on time delivery to customers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular shift meetings with direct reports to set production expectations, communicate goals, objectives, and production targets, and address any concerns or escalations needed to solve production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, quality, scheduling/planning, purchasing, and maintenance, to resolve production-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing fabrication & assembly processes, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity while maintaining accurate production records and documentation, including production reports, quality control records, and ERP transactions.
  • Ensure proper use of tools such as Rapid Problem Solving, Root Cause Corrective action or other problem-solving tools to ensure product quality meets customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the human resources department to recruit, hire, and onboard new production personnel.
  • Identify training needs, provide training opportunities, and develop talent within the production team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Provide regular performance feedback to production team members and conduct performance evaluations as required ensuring team members understand their role & responsibilities.



To succeed in this role, you have:


  • 8 years of experience supervising, coaching, and training employees
  • 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual (fluency in English and Spanish)
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 applications
  • ERP experience
  • Strong and quantifiable background in fitting, welding, structural design, and coating/painting
  • Effective leadership style with a positive and proactive approach to supervision with the proven ability to build high-performing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • EPICOR ERP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent on-the-job experience)
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced/high-growth work environment
