Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Supervisor to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development and improvement of processes and products. This role requires a strong background in technical minting skills, process engineering, and product development, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Job Duties:

o  Pre-Production Development for products and onboarding of new products, including product line expansion.

o  Investigate areas of concern related to the quality of products and find acceptable solutions. For example: Rim not properly filling, blanks sticking together, damaged blanks from burnishing.

o  Set up new processes to get desired results, quality and throughput required.

o  Create parameters and documentation to hand over to production for continued operations.

o  Provide professional engineering expertise for continuous manufacturing and design improvements including responsibility for developing a variety of complex and novel production layouts within the plant's operations.

o  Analysis and required action to maximize the productivity of plant equipment – Analyze for suggested modifications to existing equipment or research into additions.

o  Identify the need for changes in the engineering and organizational processes and procedures, and refine, evaluate, and monitor the manufacturing process to achieve an optimal manufacturing environment.

o  Provide ongoing advice including information on production systems, machinery, equipment, and personnel.

o  Develop or select appropriate techniques for measuring the efficiency of production activities and for insuring maximum utilization of production machinery, equipment, personnel, and related resources.


Job Qualifications:

o  Experience in minting industry including blanking and striking process: 5+ years.

o  Experience working with sovereign mints, within strict specifications and tolerances.

o  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

o  Engineering background (preferred)

o  Lean Manufacturing Knowledge and OEE (preferred)
