Mechanical Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
• Management and coordination of project development and execution
• Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule
• Project team management and development of team members (i.e. maintenance, operations, safety)
• Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution
• Manage and forecast project costs.
• Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements, plant engineering standards and equipment standards.
• Compliance with Process safety, ergonomics, MSHA, ISO, environmental agencies, applicable codes, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure projects comply with all applicable standards.
• Management of departmental record keeping and databases
Activities:
• Management and coordination of project development and execution including development of AFE’s and evaluation of project’s economics.
• Oversee management of change (MOC) process.
• Assist in performing root cause analysis’s (RCA’s).
• Determination of project development and execution strategies such as contracting plan, material management plan and integrated project schedule.
• Utilization of the capital deployment process for project development and execution.
• Manage and forecast project costs.
• Participate in development and administration of capital plans.
• Project management, including cost accountability.
• Collaboration amongst various departments across the site, including operations, maintenance, and support groups.
• Prepare design, drawings & specification documents.
• Prepare bid/request documents, addendums & change orders for procurement phase.
• Direct interface with a variety of disciplined engineers.
• Coordinate and ensure projects comply with regulatory and code requirements.
• Project closure and accounting interface.
• Support project systems.
• Support ISO efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:
• B.S. Degree in Engineering, with five or more years of Mechanical experience, OR a B.S in Mechanical Engineering
• 4 + years of experience in Project Management strongly preferred.
• Engineer in training certificate or professional engineering license preferred.
