Senior Regulatory and Planning Lead/Project Manager


We are currently seeking to hire a Regulatory and Planning Lead in our Salt Lake City, Utah office to lead and support client development and permitting and regulatory planning projects throughout the company. The role requires oversight and participation of diverse project teams, focusing on managing client management and development; planning and permitting management; regulatory support and compliance planning; and guiding resource assessment, analysis, and reporting.  

The position is senior-level full-time, salary position and primarily office based (hybrid of office and remote) with requirements for occasional travel to support projects and client meetings.  


Projects and duties include:

●      Lead and manage permitting and regulatory planning that meets company and clients’ needs and regulatory frameworks.

●      Manage a multidisciplinary team through National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects.

●      Lead and plan resource data studies and analysis to meet regulatory or client requirements.

●      Manage and collaborate with task leads with data collection and coordination, quality control, data analysis/data management.  

●      Coordinate environmental compliance, including field management and response.

●      Manage client relations.

●      Develop business with new and existing clients.

●      Lead and mentor staff



WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Applicants must have:

●      Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in environmental sciences, law, or applicable field.

●      Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in resource management, regulatory planning and permitting, project management, and client management.

●      Preferred experience working in the Western U.S., with consulting or resource professional teams.

●      Excellent communication and organization skills, strong technical writing skills, and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).

●      Business development acumen and demonstrated experience developing client relationships.

●      Ability to travel for client and project needs.

●      A positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.

●      A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

●      A commitment to High Standards in Safety

●      Ability to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
