Our client is seeking a RF System Engineer to join their team! The RF System Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of P-25 public safety radio systems for their assigned region. These systems are essential for effective communication in emergency services and public safety agencies. In addition to technical responsibilities, the RF System Engineer actively engages with customers, prospects, partners, and internal personnel. This communication is aimed at fostering collaboration and aiding in the development of new offerings that align seamlessly with our customer needs, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of public safety communication solutions. The RF System Engineer's expertise and engagement are vital components in advancing the standing of our organization in the industry.



Job Summary


  • Field support of existing large complex public safety communications systems within Florida and possible travel to other areas in support of Ci efforts.
  • Lead and mentor technicians, contributing to talent development.
  • Collaborate with management and customers to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop needs assessments for State and local agencies and support sales presentations.
  • Generate and present project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Participate in or lead discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, and other personnel.



Required Qualifications


  • MUST have either five years’ experience with P25 Simulcast systems or Multisite Trunking experience
  • 5+ years of experience in maintaining large public safety radio networks.
  • 5+ years of L3Harris land mobile radio (LMR) systems, simulcast, P25 radio technology, and microwave systems.
  • Technical proficiency in Linux, SQL server, Microsoft, Cisco networking devices, Firepower firewalls, VMware.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, including networking.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications test equipment.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking principles, and network security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • 25% Travel



Desired Qualifications


  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP).
