Our client is at the forefront of providing essential public safety communication solutions, ensuring effective communication for emergency services and public safety agencies. We are currently seeking a skilled RF Systems Engineer to join our dedicated team. This role is instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the performance and reliability of P-25 public safety radio systems, crucial for seamless communication in critical situations.


As a Public Safety RF Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing field support for existing large, complex public safety communication systems within Florida and potentially other regions. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a team of technicians, collaborate with management and customers to identify enhancement opportunities and contribute to the development of new offerings that align with customer needs. Your expertise and engagement are playing a pivotal role in advancing our organization's standing in the industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing field support for public safety communication systems, including analog/digital radio networks, IP networks, microwave links, and wireless data.
  • Leading and mentoring technicians, contributing to talent development.
  • Collaborating with management and customers to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Developing needs assessments for State and local agencies and supporting sales presentations.
  • Generating and presenting project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Participating in or leading discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, and other personnel.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience with P25 Simulcast systems or Multisite Trunking experience.
  • Five years of knowledge of L3Harris land mobile radio (LMR) systems.
  • Three years of experience in maintaining large public safety radio networks.
  • Technical proficiency in Linux, SQL Server, Microsoft, Cisco networking devices, Firepower firewalls, VMware.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, including networking.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications test equipment.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking principles, and network security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Travel: Approximately 25%


Preferred:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP).
