Wind Tech Recruiters is currently seeking a Traveling Gearbox Technician to work for a large Global Gearbox Manufacturing company. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package. 

Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, good written and oral communication skills, and be able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Performs wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repairs. (main, pitch, and yaw gearboxes)
• Assists with removal and installation of wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn advanced troubleshooting and repair wind turbine components
• Completes the required reports and other paperwork, most of which require computer entry
• 100% travel with scheduled relief trips every 6 weeks

Qualifications:

• Experience with GE 1.5-1.7, Vestas, Gamesa, or Siemens Wind Turbines
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and work procedures
• Strong mechanical inclination (Required)
• LOTO Certified (Preferred)
• GE platform experience (Preferred)
• Experience with hand and power tools (Required)
• Current valid driver's license is required. (Required)
• Authorized to work in the US (Required)
