WTR Search is looking for a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 4 years experience in Building Systems Design. A candidate will only be considered for a position that has experience in this field. The ideal candidate will be expected to immediately step in to assist and provide support for all design aspects of assigned jobs. The candidate shall show a solid understanding of the Plumbing & Fire Protection engineering discipline and have the ability to provide immediate support for a fast-paced department. Candidate shall have working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design Plumbing/Fire Protection Systems for government, educational, institutional, and other commercial facilities.
• Work with technical teams such as Project Engineers, Project Managers, Project Architects to support design development.
• Lead the design development by creating reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and deliverables.
• Travel to project sites to verify conditions and installation during construction.
• Approve submittals and support RFI responses during construction administrations.
• Communicate with clients, use project workflow documents, attend client interviews, estimate man-hours, and assist in the preparation of proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least four(4) years of Plumbing &F Fire Protection Design experience
• Preferably has a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing.
• CAD & REVIT experience is required.
