Entry level Install Technicians – cross-training & free education

Are you an entry-level mechanically minded person looking to get into a career that’s interesting, has a lot of variety through cross-training, and offers fully paid on-the-job training to include formal education and certifications? Then you have found the right place!  We work with a variety of well-established companies in the Midwest that are looking to hire varying levels of Installation Technicians to join their team.  Salary ranges from $23-37/hour including excellent benefits and PTO. 50% travel is required with a clean driver’s license. 


In this role, you will perform installation tasks including cable pulls, cable terminations, device installation, rack fabrication, and coordinating with lead and senior technicians to ensure projects achieve scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements. Many technicians find that travelling around the country and sometimes working on very high-profile buildings can be extremely rewarding and exciting. From huge city stadiums to hospitals, schools, and everything in between, you are one of the most important people on a team of professionals that important organizations call on to make big things happen.

Here are some of the requirements – and training will be provided if you don’t have them all:

  • Low-voltage or related field experience
  • Ability to regularly climb & work from ladders or scaffolding
  • Ability to read & interpret architectural blueprints and schematics
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Valid Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Record that meets the company’s
  • driving standard
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Must be flexible to work overtime/weekends when required
  • Willing to travel when necessary
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Effectively communicate with employees & customers



Education Requirements OR can be attained on the job for the right individual seeking this career:

  • Fire Alarm Inspectors License
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical engineering or related field
  • Ability to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system
  • specific) as required
