Compensation: $31.25 – 37.50/hour with benefits

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st shift

Join our team and make sparks fly as an Industrial Electrician in our Manufacturing division for the Engine Business Segment in Jamestown, NY.


In this role, you'll electrify our operations by:

  • Troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment operational and efficient.
  • Learning and implementing safety protocols for working with electricity and other energy sources in industrial equipment.
  • Working independently and coaching others as needed.
  • Performing work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications, using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
  • Proficiently troubleshooting, performing mechanical repairs, and maintaining equipment.
  • Adhering to codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


Experience:

  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NEC and IEC.
  • Training, authorization, and certification in 70E.
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, servo and variable-frequency drives, CNC, automation, robotic controls, AC motoring dynamometers, inverters, transformers, etc.
  • Familiarity with Maximo system for PM and WO tasks.
  • Ability to make decisions based on schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, etc.
  • Familiarity with various electrical tools and their safe use.
  • Flexibility to complete tasks that reduce downtime and assist in other areas as needed.
  • Experience providing training and mentoring.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 years' experience in the relevant trade field.
  • OR successful completion of an approved 4-year, 8000-hour on-the-job training apprenticeship program with a related course of study, plus 1 year working in the trade field.
  • OR 2-year Technical Degree in a related field, plus 3 years' experience working in the field of this particular skilled trade.
