Marketing Analyst


Type of Position:

6-month contract position to start. Possible to be renewed / converting to direct hire.


Job Location:

Columbus, IN (on site role).


Compensation:

$48.28/hr (overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours)

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products to help hire a Marketing Analyst. In this role, you will research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of a product or service. You will be responsible for gathering information on competitors and methods of marketing and distribution. Your work will help our company to Identify key aggressive growth opportunities across sales, operations and other segments of the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
  • Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.


Requirements:

  • We’re seeking candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience here will entail Market Analysis for sales lead generation, project management, and CRM experience (ideally with Salesforce).
  • Candidates must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree. Experience will not be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time
  • Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
  • Expert knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
  • Expert ability to develop marketing and pricing strategy
  • Expert knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods


Work Environment / Other Info:

  • This will be a 1st (day) shift role with a flexible schedule. Our standard schedule is 8:00am to 5:00pm (but candidates can start sooner or later depending on their preference). We may also be open to exploring a 4/10 schedule for this role.
  • This will be an on site role (no remote / hybrid work).
  • You will need to pass a background check and drug screen (including cannabis) for this role.
