Production Supervisor (Off Shift Support)


Type of Position:

12-month contract position to start. Possible to be renewed, likely long term for direct hire.

Compensation:

$25/hr to $28/hr (depending on experience). Overtime is paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to hire a Production Supervisor to work at our Rochester Operations facility. We proudly build vehicle components and applications— including integrated air modules (manifold), fuel rails, lifter oil manifold assemblies, fuel injectors and EV battery cooling lines—which are used in a variety of Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac vehicles at this facility. Responsibilities:

  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.


Required Skills / Experience:

  • We’re seeking candidates with 1+ years of relevant experience minimum (although we prefer candidates with 3+ years of experience). Automotive industry experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates from many different backgrounds (for example, a military background).
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.


Education:

  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED at a minimum. Higher level education (such as an Associate or Bachelor’s degree) is welcome but not required. 


Work Environment / Other Info:

  • This role will be working on a team that works on 2nd and 3rd shifts. We are seeking candidates willing to work on either shift. The standard work schedule is Thursday to Monday (with Tuesday / Wednesday off).
  • This role will have occasional overtime. Overtime is paid at 1.5x.
  • There will be a background check and drug screen if offered the role. Drug screen does NOT include cannabis.
