HRU Technical Resources is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Group Leader to drive automotive innovation in Buffalo, NY!


Contract: 12-month contract (Option to be extended OR direct hire)  


Schedule: 2nd or 3rd Shift (On site)


Compensation: $46.00-$49.00/HR

Description: Join us in a pivotal role as a Maintenance Group Leader where your leadership and technical skills will drive our manufacturing processes forward. As a Group Leader, you'll oversee a team of skilled professionals, guiding them in troubleshooting and repairing intricate equipment and processes. Your role will extend beyond technical expertise; you'll also ensure adherence to the National and Local Agreement between the company and the United Auto Workers Union, upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards. Embracing the challenges of our dynamic industry, you'll contribute to the transformative shift towards electric and autonomous vehicles, shaping the future of automotive manufacturing. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
  • Ability to coordinate, manage and lead people
  • Interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directed
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 4-5 years’ experience in industrial/mechanical engineering background OR manufacturing
  • Ability to read, write, and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints
