Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Contract: 12 months (possible extension or conversion to direct-hire)

Location: Toledo, OH

Schedule: Must be available for 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm) and 3rd shift (11 pm - 7 am)

Overtime Eligible at (1.5x) - Must be able to work OT on weekends (not every weekend).

Compensation: $45-$48/hour

Onboarding Requirements: Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical, & Employment Verification


Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the enhancement of maintenance activities, providing technical assistance to supported manufacturing departments. This position involves strategic planning and efficient utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment to support SPQRC initiatives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrections.
  • Supervise construction and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with schedule and quality requirements.
  • Assist in implementing divisional and corporate policies to support Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate employees while ensuring compliance with Local and National Labor agreements.
  • Initiate contact with internal and external teams to solve problems effectively.
  • Implement planned maintenance activities within budget, manpower, and timing constraints.
  • Foster a safe industrial work environment, interpreting blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, machine assembly, and facility areas.
  • Display proficiency in basic math, including trigonometry, and clerical work for data gathering and machine studies.
  • Supervise a multi-trade workforce and exhibit a high level of analytical ability to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, or other email communication tools effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management to analyze and solve issues while handling multiple projects simultaneously.


Skills:

  • Willingness to work any assigned shift, daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Experience in machine, assembly, and/or facility areas.
  • Knowledge of and ability to ensure a safe industrial work environment.
  • Proficient in basic math, including trigonometry.
  • Knowledge of clerical work, data gathering, and machine studies.
  • Supervision experience in a multi-trade workforce.
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.


Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.
