Field Service Technician I
Responsibilities
Field service includes the installation, start-up, programming, technical support, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and emergency service of Kawasaki robots. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Ensure equipment is installed, and commissioned safely, reliably, and within time and budget constraints.
· Travel to customer location to complete repairs or provide support.
· Effectively communicate with design engineering, application engineering, training, administration, and customers.
· Generate detailed and accurate work order closing documentation upon completion of work assigned in a timely manner.
· Provide details needed to generate quotes for paid services.
· Complete and provide accurate, detailed expenses for invoicing.
· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues pertaining to robotics.
· Perform preventative maintenance on customer robots.
Qualifications
· High school education combined with 3+ years of technical repair experience related to robotics or automation. Associates degree or technical certificate preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Microsoft Office proficiency
· Strong adherence to safety policies and procedures
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to two-week increments.
· Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
Preferred Skills
· Robot programming experience.
· Proven mechanical aptitude.
· Electrical troubleshooting experience.
