HRU Technical Resources is seeking an Quality Engineer to assist a large defense contractor located in Henderson, CO.

Type of Role: 7 Month Contract (Extension OR direct hire possibility)

Schedule: ONSITE M-F 8-5

Compensation: $56.00/HR

Description: Research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes, and develop quality standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product integrity and standards. The technical skills include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and experience using computer applications related to the engineering field, in addition to the quality inspection of parts & procedures within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a B.A in an engineering OR related field, with around 2-3 years of practical experience in the manufacturing field.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.

• Establishes a program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.

• May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.

• May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application

• Interpret Blueprint drawings/sketches/technical reports

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR related field

• 2-4 years’ experience in related field

• Proficiency in reading technical drawings/blueprints

• Quality Management experience (ISO 9001)
