Job Title: Audi Technician

Location: Allendale, NJ

Pay: $19.43/hour

Contract Type: Long term




Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant automotive background and technical experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive vocational technical training preferred.
  • At least two ASE Certifications required.

Skills:

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Valid driver’s license with good DMV record.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, presentation, and written).
  • Proficient with computer software and engineering tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Specialized Skills: Required:

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized and dependable.
  • Minimum two ASE certifications, including one powertrain related.
  • Recent automotive drivetrain diagnostic experience.
  • Extensive knowledge as an Automotive Technician on Audi/VW vehicles.

Desired:

  • Diagnostic experience including VAS testers.
  • Self-organized with the ability to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Resource management skills.
  • Proficiency in German and/or Spanish language.
  • Forklift certification and operation.

Work Flexibility:

  • Minimum 40 hours/week, with occasional Saturdays or overtime.
  • Core work hours 7AM – 4PM.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required for business and training.
  • Regular driving of motor vehicles, including performance class, with special training required.
  • Combination of desk work, walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Role Summary: This role supports all Test Fleet Activities as needed, determined by Management or Station Coordinator.

Role Responsibilities: Main Responsibilities (90%):

  • Perform detailed inspections and repairs of all test vehicles.
  • Conduct software and hardware updates, including reporting systems.
  • Maintain and service test vehicles as scheduled or unscheduled.
  • Provide technical support for visiting test groups.
  • Install, remove, and maintain data logging equipment.
  • Receive parts and maintain inventory.
  • Sample and collect fluids with documentation.
  • Maintain and update engineering tools as directed.

Additional Responsibilities (10%):

  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of work area.
  • Provide support for department operations as needed.
  • Assist test drivers with inquiries before and after shifts.
