HRU Technical Resources is seeking an Support Engineer to assist a multinational automobile corporation in Warren, MI.
Type of Role: 12 Month Contract (Extension OR direct hire possibility)
Schedule: HYBRID (T,W,TH in office)
Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/HR

Description: As an Entry Level Support Engineer, the successful candidate will undertake a variety of duties and responsibilities crucial to the smooth functioning of engineering operations. These include writing engineering work orders, conducting part changes as needed, and providing support to Senior and Design Engineers. Additionally, proficiency in reading and evaluating blueprints and hydraulic drawings is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with Manufacturing Engineering and other engineering units. The role requires adeptness in understanding and diagnosing root cause analysis issues while maintaining a steadfast commitment to ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Writing engineering work orders
• Changing parts when/when parts need to be changed
• Supporting Senior & Design Engineers
• Able to read/evaluate blueprint and hydraulic drawings
• Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering and other engineering units
• Understanding & diagnosing root cause analysis issues
• Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
• Understanding of “DRE’s” and their use within automobiles
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR math OR related field
• 0-2 years related combined experience (internships, co-op’s)
• Possesses effective communication skills, both verbal and in writing, to convey information.
• Computer literacy required to be able to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
• Understanding of and the ability to use shop math.
