Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Position Description

-Perform system level and subsystem level CFD analysis to support vehicle design optimization.

-Analysis to be done using Ansa/Fluent software.

-Be able to output air flow details and surface temperatures of impacted components.

- Prepare summary reports for given assignment per departmental ISO procedures.

- Clearly present results to management and the customer as requested.

- Interface with design engineers and drafting designers during the design development process.

- Limited travel to off-site locations.

Position Requirements  

- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

- Bachelors Degree required, higher level degrees are acceptable.

- Must be able manipulate prepare models using ANSA software, and perform CFD analysis using FLUENT software.

- Background in Finite Element Analysis and related software on LINUX and PC systems desired but not required.

- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly present results in front of an audience.

- Must be able to prioritize workload, and communicate with internal customers.

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

- Must be able to perform analysis assignments on schedule and within budget with minimal guidance.

- Must be willing to travel to off-site locations as needed.
