Position: Sights and Optical Sensor Engineer
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering (BSCE), Mechatronics or Robotics preferred with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience. Fewer years will be considered with an advanced degree.
Current experience with schematic capture software (PADS Designer preferred)
Current experience with circuit simulation tools
Current experience with circuit design reviews
Current experience with PCB layout requirements
Current experience with PCB layout design reviews
Current experience Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes
Current experience using test equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, current probes, etc.
Knowledge of troubleshooting circuits using schematic
Knowledge of serial communication interfaces
Development of component/subsystem requirements from system requirements
Ability to travel to supplier and government sites.
Capable of getting a secret clearance desired
ASR is needed to work inside tanks and military vehicles.
Occasionally may need to lift and carry test equipment weighing 30 lbs.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to travel to supplier and government sites.

IPC and MIL standards
Digital and Analog circuit design
Power, thermal analysis, timing, biasing, voltage and current control, LED control, data packet deciphering, etc.
Schematic development, component selection, circuit simulation, and PCB layout
Engineering design, development, and analysis software Desired: MATLAB, MATHCAD, Mentor Graphics Schematic Capture, CAMView or CAM350
Microprocessor based products including processors, chipsets, memory and bus interfaces, networking standards (PCI-xpress, DDR2, DDR3, USB, SATA, DVI, etc...)
Microcontrollers including IDEs, configuration, coding, and programming desired: NXP family of microcontrollers.
Industry interface standards and form factors (VITA42/46, COM Express, ETX, etc. ...)
Networking Products, H/W, S/W, Switches, Routers, OSI layers
Network Storage (NAS, SAN), Solid State and Rotating Drive technologies, Interfaces, and protocols (IDE, SATA, SCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS)
Serial Interconnects, USB, CAN, RS422/485, etc.)
Graphics/video interfaces (Ethernet, SDI, DVI, H
DMI, RS-170, etc.)
FPGA Design and Simulation, VHDL
EMI/EMC design practices and standards.
C, C#, Visual Studio Suite
Optical hardware and testing
Experience with typical test equipment including Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, DMM, Function Generators, Labview, etc. ……
