Shipping & Receiving Specialist | Torrance, CA


Contract: 6 months with possible extension/direct hire

Schedule: 100% onsite | 9x80 Schedule (1st shift)

Compensation: $22/hour with 5 days of accrued PTO

Onboarding Requirements: Background check, drug screen, employment verification


About the Role:

Join a dynamic team in Torrance, CA, as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in preparing kits for the production floor.


Responsibilities:

  • Sort, count, and check raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts.
  • Handle raw materials in compliance with internal Electrostatic Discharge Policies and Procedures.
  • Issue material to work orders and follow Bill of Material and Work Order Routing.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace components standards.
  • Store electronic components properly and understand MSD components.
  • Validate previous transactions for accuracy and traceability.
  • Prepare kits in compliance with standards and internal documentation.
  • Maintain regular attendance and may occasionally be required to work overtime.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing (English language), and math ability required.
  • Strong background in material handling/stockroom manufacturing preferred.
  • Inventory reconciliation experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
  • Support stockroom operations to ensure smooth flow process.
  • Perform multiple tasks within the stockroom.
