Facility Maintenance Technician II


Role Summary:

Under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Technician, performs routine and complex facility maintenance tasks and duties, only occasionally requiring assistance with new or unusual situations. Requires familiarity with the facilities as well as both Kett and APG policies and procedures.


Essential Job Functions:

• With minimal supervision - Troubleshoot, plan, modify, and repair/rebuild all types of plant equipment

• With minimal supervision - Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, repair and construction as required

• With minimal supervision - Repair and test equipment to assure satisfactory performance

• Serve as a mentor to lower level Maintenance Technicians

• Work from ladders, lifts, elevated places as required

• Submit requisitions for repair / replacement parts as necessary

• Keep equipment, maintenance shop and job sites clean and in orderly condition

• Using CMMS system document daily work completed, report job outcomes, and supplies used

• Work in accordance with OSHA and Customer safety policies and procedures

Required Skills:

• General mechanical knowledge including pump and piping repair, basic electrical, HVAC, Fork lifts, skid-steer, etc.

• Ability to read prints, schematics, manuals, etc.

• Must be able to pass all OSHA Training.


Years of Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work related experience preferred


Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.


Work Flexibility:

• Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.

• Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis.

• Must be flexible and available to work overtime and odd hours, including some weekends and Holidays.
