Compensation:

$31.00/hr (overtime eligible). There will be a $1.50/hr off shift premium in this role.

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products to help hire an Electrical Support Specialist (3rd Shift). We are seeking candidates to join our team specializing in troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable for our location in Columbus, IN.


Responsibilities:

•  Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable.

•  Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

•  Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.

•  Fully proficient in performing troubleshooting, electrical repairs, and maintenance of equipment.

•  Conforms applicable codes and standards to maintain, install and operate electrical systems.

•  Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

•  Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) - Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Stop work and immediately report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.


Requirements:

•  High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience (EG: GED) to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

•  Requires 6 years of experience OR an Associate's degree with two to four years of relevant experience OR a Trade certificate with six years of relevant experience OR Department of Labor certification.

•  Knowledge of PLC’s, CNC Controls, Servos, Spindles, and Microns (ultra-precision)

•  Must be able to read blueprints/schematics.


Work Environment / Other Info:

•  This will be a 3rd shift role. Hours are generally 11pm to 7am, Monday to Friday.

•  This role will have mandatory and voluntary overtime based on the needs of the facility.

•  You will need to pass a background check and drug screen (including cannabis) for this role.
