Position Description:

Join a team responsible for executing Configuration Management (CM) activities within a defense environment, encompassing design, development, and production of complex systems. Work independently and collaboratively to manage changes to approved configurations via a systematic, measurable change process. Ensure delivery and maintenance of the engineering technical data package (TDP), applying CM processes as per the CM Plan. Support configuration management and quality audits, providing solutions to moderate scope and complexity issues in line with company policies and procedures. Communicate solutions, practices, and procedures to internal stakeholders, fostering effective working relationships with personnel across Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and Manufacturing.


Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in database usage.
  • Strong computer skills with the MS Office suite to generate metrics, reports, and documents.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with excellent time management and organization.
  • Interpersonal skills for coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • General knowledge of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and documentation, including military standards MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and/or Drawing standards ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100.


Skills Preferred:

  • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
  • Advanced user knowledge of complex formulas in MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with CMMI requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate research and presentation skills.
  • Experience using Windchill for product data management.


Experience Required:

  • Typically a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the defense industry.

  • Typically a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Education Preferred:

  • Engineering degree.
