Senior Quality Engineer

Type of Position:

6-month contract position to start. Likely to be extended – good chance of ultimately going direct hire.

Candidate Requirements:

This role requires candidates to be US Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders). Candidates on CPT, OPT, H1B or TN visas are also not eligible for this role. This company is NOT open to corp2corp (c2c) or corp2hire (c2h).

Job Location:

Louisville, KY (relocation assistance may be available for non-local candidates). This role is located near the Louisville International Airport.

Compensation:

We are targeting $52.58/hr (but there may be some flexibility, depending on experience). Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor to help hire a Senior Quality Engineer. In this role you will be inspecting products, researching products, and completing certification documentations for inspected products. This position will work in a team environment reviewing, inspecting and putting together certification packets of products to present to government inspectors.

Skills, Experience, Education Required:

• 4+ years working in a high paced manufacturing environment in the quality field.
• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma / GED.
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, etc)
• Experience with GD&T
• Basic blueprint reading experience and experience with corrective actions (5-Why, 8-D, A3. Fishbone Diagrams, etc)
• Experience reviewing product certifications
• Experience with product inspections and evaluations
• Creating and processing reports
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization

Skills, Experience, Education Preferred:

• We prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field, however experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Work Environment:

• This is a 1st (day) shift role that works a 9/80 schedule (9-hour days, every other Friday off).
• There will be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.
