Position: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Location: Plymouth, MI

Type: Long Term Contract

Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Hours: 2 pm - 10 pm, Monday-Friday with some Saturdays


Job Summary:

Repair and maintain various machinery and mechanical equipment in a JIT Production Environment, ensuring optimal production efficiencies. This role involves troubleshooting electrical systems, performing equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and contributing to assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support all equipment in JIT Production Environment and other designated areas.
  • Complete assigned tasks, work orders, and preventive maintenance in a safe and timely manner.
  • Make approved modifications to machinery to meet production needs.
  • Conduct repairs, rebuilds, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure production efficiencies.
  • Record all line calls, work orders, preventive maintenance, and work history electronically.
  • Participate in required training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts with reasonable notice.
  • Continuously improve and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Fulfill additional tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Authority to halt production in the event of safety or quality concerns.
  • Maintain licenses for operating Hilo, Scissor Lift, and Articulating Lift.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and a steady work history.

Reporting Relationship:

Directly reports to Maintenance Supervisor

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30lbs.
  • Safely access vertical areas via stairs or ladder.
  • Safely climb and work on a ladder.
  • Safely work with power tools.
  • Stand or walk 6-8 hours to assist production.
  • Perform bending, pushing, and pulling.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, certification (Preferred)
  • Journeyman’s Card (Accepted)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience, industrial automotive preferred.
