Instrumentation Technician
****This is a full-time time onsite role. The work hours are from 7 am - 3:30 pm from Monday - Friday. This could led to a full-time role. Looking for candidates with mechanical experience.****
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Building and installing low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring harnesses, auxiliary battery and electrical
systems
• Installing, adjusting and calibrating sensors, shunts, fiber optics, accelerometers and data acquisition systems
• Collaborating with customers, fabricators, and mechanics to identify required locations for sensor installation
according to Instrumentation Requirement List (IRL)
• Assisting in performing complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation according to Instrumentation
Quality Assurance (IQA)
• Diagnosing faulty low voltage automotive and instrumentation wiring systems and repair
• Working with electronic functional and measurement tools, such as power supplies, function generators, and
multimeter
• Maintaining records by entering notes into service repair requests
• Keeping shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing
preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
• Participating in daily shop organization and clean-up
Education and Experience (required):
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to follow procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects, such as work
• requests, shop procedures and shop manuals, publications or schematic diagrams
• Good organizational skills and works well independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Able to work overtime and weekends
• Good attention to detail
Education and Experience (preferred):
• Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
• 2 years of mechanical experience
• Knowledge of proper installation of thermocouples
• National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)
• State Mechanic Certification(s)
