Commissioning Discipline Leader - Fire/Life Safety

Compensation: 130 - 150K

We are seeking a Discipline Leader to join a construction services firm, headquartered in northern Virginia. This is a role for a commissioning professional to step into a leadership role of a growing commissioning group to oversee multiple projects around the country, mentor a team, and cultivate industry relationships for business opportunity. This is a high visibility job and a great opportunity for those with fire protection backgrounds to make an impact and excel with high growth potential.
Remote work opportunity - ability to work out of a home office; as with most commissioning roles, travel is required as needed to sites
Be the expert - this role with assume the function of being the "go-to" person for project oversight, approving engineering documents, and the leader of the fire/life safety commissioning division
Mentor those upcoming in the industry - be a resource for Commissioning Agents as you collaboratively work together on the design, functionality and implementation of mechanical/controls systems

What we are looking for:
10+ years of experience within the Fire/Life Safety industry as an Engineer, Project Manager, or Leader
5+ Expertise with design, design review, and field work is highly valued
Polished Leadership – someone that creates vision and mentors, and attracts the leaders of tomorrow based on winning principles and the organization’s mission
Strong Business Acumen – Able to blend your knowledge of the industry with sound business principles for greater impact, including the ability willingness to generate business as you interact with current and potential clients through your line of work
Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain; NICET Certification(s) and/or NFPA membership
Certified Commissioning Provider (CCP) from the Building Commissioning Association (BCA), Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) from the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) also highly valued
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent work experience
