Fire Protection Engineer - Commissioning Projects

We are seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join a construction/building services firm, headquartered in the northern Virginia area. We are seeking a professional who has technical expertise in this space to support various commissioning projects. This is a high-visibility job where you will have the opportunity to expand your skill set and learn from other fire protection and commissioning professionals. Remote work opportunity - ability to work out of a home office; as with most commissioning roles, travel is required as needed to sites

What we are looking for:
3+ years of engineering experience within the Fire/Life Safety industry
Expertise with both the design of systems design, and knowledge of on-site operability through inspections
Familiarity with or interest in learning the commissioning process and being involved with commissioning projects
Motivated team player with customer-focused attitude
Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE), NICET Certification(s) and/or NFPA membership - all are highly valued but not required
