Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with Behavioral Health and Patent Research customers, leveraging advanced analytical solutions to extract, transform, and analyze large and complex data sets. This role is crucial in parsing unstructured data from various sources, such as clinical notes and PDFs, to drive meaningful insights and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Behavioral Health and Patent Research teams to understand and address their data needs.
  • Develop and implement data solutions using Python, Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau for effective data analysis and visualization.
  • Parse and manage large, unstructured data sets, including clinical notes, PDFs, and other documents, to create structured data outputs.
  • Work with large-scale data sets, managing up to 25 million records.
  • Utilize Epic Clarity and Caboodle systems to support clinical research projects, with the opportunity to obtain Epic certification (training provided).
  • Assist in the transition of data infrastructure to cloud-based environments, specifically Azure and AWS.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Python, Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Strong background in working with large data sets and parsing unstructured data.
  • Experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle, with Epic certification considered a plus.
  • Clinical research experience is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
