Junior Legal & Compliance Officer

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As a Junior Legal & Compliance Officer, you will join iGaming veterans who have successfully set-up a number of companies. You will work closely with the MLRO and Chief Risk Officer.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Providing effective legal advice and support to the business, ensuring that operational needs align with legal obligations.
• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts within a multi-jurisdictional scope, as well as reviewing and validating them to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards, while identifying potential risks and discrepancies before approval.
• Organising, filing, and maintaining the company’s contracts and contract management system, alongside keeping track of suppliers and overseeing the company’s technical compliance certifications.
• Supporting various reporting obligations, including those for MBR, SGA, MGA, Swedish Tax Authority, and the Maltese Tax Authority.
• Assisting the MLRO and Chief Risk Officer in managing the company’s AML/CFT, GDPR, and Responsible Gambling (RG) training and awareness programs.
• Providing ad-hoc support to the finance department, such as assisting with bank account openings and providing required documents, as well as offering occasional support to the RG and AML departments as needed.
• Supporting regulatory licensing applications across different jurisdictions and new markets.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

• While not necessary, experience in the sector is beneficial
• Relevant legal experience with significant corporate dealings, data protection, and contract law experience;
• Have strong organisational skills, attention to details and a positive nature;
• Be confident using MS Office, Google workspace and able to pick up how to use other systems as well;
• Have professional level proficiency of English.
• Being fluent in any additional language, especially Swedish will count strongly in your favour.
