WHAT'S THE JOB? 

As the Compliance Manager in a growing team you will be the point of call for all Compliance tasks and duties; from license management to Data Protection and Privacy, Auditing and Training. You will be a key individual within the business and advocate for compliance across different stakeholders. 

This growing iGaming Operator based in Sliema are culture driven, understand the importance of their people and advocate for a work/life balance.  

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

  • Interpret and analyse gaming regulations, GDPR laws, and other relevant legislation. 
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all requirements. 
  • Manage the application and renewal processes for all company licenses. 
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities. 
  • Ensure that the company's data processing activities comply with data protection laws and regulations. 
  • Implement data protection policies and procedures, including data handling, security, and breach response. 
  • Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews to identify and address potential issues related to data protection. 
  • Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness. 
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and regulatory authorities, including data protection compliance. 
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees, focusing on data protection and privacy regulations. 
  • Keep employees informed about the latest developments in data protection laws. 
  • Identify and assess compliance-related risks, including data protection, and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Establish a risk-based approach to compliance management. 
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on the company's compliance status, including data protection and privacy, for senior management. 
  • Report any significant compliance issues or data breaches to relevant authorities as required. 
  • Collaborate with legal and other relevant departments to develop and update compliance policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on data protection. 
  • Ensure policies are consistent with data protection and privacy regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop and maintain a data breach response plan and ensure that it is followed in the event of a data breach 

 

 

WHAT CAN YOU DO? 

  • Extensive experience in compliance management, with a focus on gaming regulations and data protection. 
  • Strong knowledge of MGA, GPDR and other relevant gaming and privacy legislation. 
  • Strong knowledge of various jurisdictions. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Experience in managing and leading a compliance team. 
  • Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) may be preferred. 
  • Familiarity with risk management principles.
