Accounting Manager (Bilingual)

Salary: $100,000 + bonus

A leading company in the environmental and infrastructure sectors is looking for a Controller to enhance its financial management team. This role is crucial for maintaining our financial health and supporting our strategic expansion. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership and report to our corporate office, aligning financial strategies with our overarching goals.

 

Why is this role important?

 

The Controller is responsible for guiding the company's financial operations, including financial reporting, planning, analysis, and internal controls. This role demands a proactive approach to managing the accounting cycle, financial forecasting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will ensure financial integrity through meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

 

What you’ll do:

 

•      Oversee the entire accounting cycle to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

•      Prepare comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.

•      Liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

•      Implement and oversee financial controls and systems.

•      Offer strategic financial insights to support company objectives.

•      Work alongside the leadership team to synchronize financial and business strategies.

•      Manage financial aspects such as cash flow, payroll, and tax planning.

•      Cultivate relationships with financial partners and stakeholders.

•      Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

 

Who you are:

 

•      Degree in Accounting/Finance, with CPA/CMA certification preferred.

•      At least 3 years of relevant experience in the business sector.

•      Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

•      Bilingual proficiency: primarily French for day-to-day operations, with English for reporting.

•      Exceptional leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.

•      Skilled in SAGE 300, Microsoft Office Suite.
